John Alvis, Music Minister

Picture
When asked to describe the music at our church, my response is
“Timeless.”  God is not restrained by anything…God is Timeless.  We should
praise Him without restraint. We should sing to Him and we should sing about
Him.  The Name of Jesus has been lifted up in countless ways, in countless
languages, on countless instruments.  He truly has “heard it all” and He loves
it all…good, bad, old, new, soft or loud.  Some of our hymns have been around
for generations; others will be.  Over the years the faces have changed, the
voices have changed, and the congregation has changed.  I am assured that the
Audience has NOT changed, since the foundation of the world.  God is My      Biggest Fan and yours, too.  We should never tire of singing His Praises!  Man    was created to worship a Timeless God.  It is my pleasure to do it here at Norris    First Baptist Church.
